When you visit a friend's house, imagine knocking on their door and a smiling face greeting you saying, “welcome.” That’s what every emcee is trying to do, whether they are doing it or not, is welcoming the guests into a story and an atmosphere designed for them to hear something and experience something. When an emcee gets on stage, the lights in the audience dim, the crowd hushes, the music lowers… and the first words spoken from stage are _?Įvery emcee might do it a little differently, but the introduction will be about the same. The important thing is to be clear, warm, welcoming and be yourself.
